People Skills & Communication
Our program devotes a great deal of attention to people skills—an aspect many other schools overlook. Are people skills important?Definitely! The success of a great designer is approximately 20% technical skills and 80% effective communication with the client, co-workers and your management team. A great designer develops a relationship with his or her client. They build a rapport with them. And they present themselves as an open, approachable and positive individual. Here what a professional has to say!“Most beauty schools only take the technical approach, but at a Pivot Point school you are not just learning the how’s, but also the why’s. And that’s the Pivot Point Designer Approach. It’s being able to create something that has an emotional response—how it makes you feel. You’ll learn to relate to anything that is beauty whether it’s as a hair designer, an esthetician, make up artist or massage therapist.” Mary Beth Janssen, Beauty Industry Consultant, International Creative Director Former International Artistic Director for Pivot Point International and ISO
